Ontology of Survitality

driven by the Constitution of The Mangos

Richards.Estate

"Certainty is the assurance that what was — is for what will be."

This folder contains the governing documents of MANGOS — the strategic foundation from which everything else in this repository flows.

The Thesis

Optionality and loyalty are not real without each other.

MANGOS (Maieutic and Applicable Negotiations, Guarantees, and Opportunities) is a framework for interdependent sovereignty among families and local communities. It rejects top-down value imposition and instead builds antifragile, localized structures within a cognitively manageable group — bounded by Dunbar's Number (~150 people).

The strategy operates on three levels:

  1. Constitutional — Define the boundaries of reality so that betrayal has no structural opportunity to exist. Make loyalty authentic through contracts, bylaws, and mutual accountability.

  2. Charter — Translate insurance exclusions and financial risks into behavioral bylaws. The Family Charter is the Put Option on Loyalty — it protects the downside risk of human behavior.

  3. Operational — Run the risks of entrepreneurial life with a barbell strategy: extreme safety in the core, calculated risk at the margins. Skin in the game always.

Strategic Architecture

The constitution establishes a three-domain model for protecting standards of behavior:

Domain

Happiness Type

Threat Model

Threat Model

Church

Long-term

Spiritual drift, moral atrophy

State

Short-term

Institutional overreach, policy volatility

Entertainment Industry

Instantaneous

Attention hijacking, AI-mediated closure

And a three-layer labor hierarchy within the Dunbar Calculus of Value (DCoV):

Layer

Agrarian

Food, shelter, resource extraction

Highest civic engagement

Military

Boundary enforcement, risk management

Security for the agrarian base

Entrepreneurial

Capital + technology leverage

Operates across DCoVs

Capital Model

MANGOS defines three forms of capital, each with its own balance-sheet logic:

  • Material Capital — Assets = Liabilities + Common Stock + Retained Earnings + Revenue − Expenses − Dividends

  • Social Capital — Social Power = Social Responsibilities + Common Social Stock + Previous Material Baggage + Exfluences − Influences − Takeables

  • Scope Capital — Scope Responsibilities = Scope Power (Focus) + Common Scope Stock + Previous Immaterial Baggage + Educateables − Ignoreables − Shareables

The quarterly 10Q report quantifies all three.

Anti-Fragility Principles (Article VI)

  • Prefer optionality over prediction

  • Small, reversible bets over large, irreversible ones

  • Barbell strategy: extreme safety in the core, calculated risk at the margins

  • Skin in the game: do not advise others to take risks you yourself would not take

  • Prepare for both shareholder economies and stakeholder economies

Every folder in this repository is an operational expression of one or more constitutional articles. The strategy documents are the root — they define what "correct, good, right, but rarely true" means for this family.

"We do not just survive. We survive with certainty, and we survive with vitality. This is the architecture we build for those who come after us."
